i'm getting into bad habits

Every character gets better as the story goes along. I don't understand how you guys don't like FFX.

The whole thing with VII and X are that their system was different from the other FFs. What I mean by that is that they created more than what they needed to with the two games. The deal with Mako and materia was unique and added a lot to the story. The deal with spheres, sendings, fiends, etc was also unique and added a ton to the story. The other FFs didn't really do that.

FF8 = Guardian Forces, Time Traveling, and Stupid Amnesia.
FF9 = Another World, Trances, Necron, and Black Mages.

Lulu didn't do enough for me to hate her. Tidus was okay at times and others I wanted to hurt him. Wakka was fun and Auron was alright.

Seymour can go jump in a fire though.

Only thing I liked about Yuna was that she could summon Aeons. The Aeons kick ass, although I hate Yuna as an actual character. I didn't really mind Rikku... but then, she's my loli bitch. I never really developed an opinion about Lulu... or Kimarhi, for that matter. Wakka was half and half. Sometimes he was quite enjoyable; others, he was tiresome. Likewise with Tidus, but to a lesser extent of the "likable" category. The one character who I completely say I liked was Auron.

And don't even get me started on Seymour. One of the worst villains ever. >_>

Jecht was an enjoyable dick.

Ah, yes. Totally forgot about Jecht. Yeah, he was enjoyable as well.

I don't really know what you're trying to say here. There was a lot more than just some of that stuff in FFX and FFVII.

Every game had it's own gimmicks and crap. Some were just better and less annoying than others.

IMO, FF9 was the best. It has a viverse cast of interesting and enjoyable characters (except maybe for the resident WTF, Quina), a ton of awesome moments, one of the better storylines throughout the entire series... and to top it all off, THE BLACK WALTZES!

That is arguably my biggest complaint about FF9; there were only 3 Black Waltz enemies. Even if it was mainly through cutscenes, the fight with the last one is among the coolest conflicts in all of Final Fantasy.

LOVED the whole 'clone/artificial being' story. and vivi visiting the black mage village was touching.
