Yep, it's easy to criticize something you barely know anything about. Seasons 4 through 6 feature fewer episodes so everything is a bit more streamlined. Season 4 had 14 episodes, due in part to the writers strike. Seasons 5 and 6 will have 16. No more filler episodes to take up time. It's all non-stop story and action now and it's getting better.

Season 5 and 6 will have 17 episodes actually, to make up for the lost ones in season 4.

Season 3 is when the answers start coming and the plot starts moving at twice its normal pace (because the writers decided how the rest of the series would go and how long it'd be). And the season finale has biggest plot twist in the history of television.

Basically Simian, you stopped at the moment it became a great show. And you didn't stop watching Heroes after the abysmal Volume 2 and 3? Shame on you.

Part of the problem with Lost was that it was on terrestrial TV for seasons 1 & 2, then Sky bought it for season 3. This meant that there was a gap of about a year between season two airing,and me being able to watch bits of season three on torrent, by which time I'd lost interest.

Season 3 of Heroes wasn't all bad, they just seemed to throw away too many good ideas.
