This game taught me something about how I judge games. Starting the game, I wasn't really sure where it was going. It was alright, but it didn't seem to have much a direction or sense of purpose to me. Then, I got to the bit with the light seeds, and the game instantly clicked in my head. "Oh!" I thought, "It's a platformer!". Having to run around a level collecting little orbs is something I can understand.

A couple things are starting to annoy me now. Mainly the powers you unlock. I have 3 out of the 4, and so far 2 of those are the same.

And also the level design. It's all set paths, which means going from A to B always means going along the same path by the same means (unless you decide to take the long way round through 3 other areas, but that's still all on 1 set path). It's not a problem as far as getting through the game goes, but the landscapes look nice and are pretty expansive and I can't help but want to explore them. But it's impossible, because I can only go from certain place to certain place via a certain path.

the whole point of PoP is to work out where to go
as some places look impassable
i think SoT did it the best but they all do look fairly obvious at times

It's almost always very obvious where to you need to go.

The end was... well, mixed feelings on the end. Would have been much better to leave it open-ended rather than making you choose one thing over the other.

No, there's one. That's what I mean. They could have given you a choice of two, but they don't. I mean, you can just not do the little end bit and call that another ending, but it wouldn't actually be the end.
