You know what annoys me in cop/detective type shows?

The characters seem to know the Bible by heart. There'll be some numbers that are part of a clue or something, and everyone's like "What could it mean?", and then the main character will walk in and say "It's a bible verse..." and then quote it word for word.

Don't hate them because Jesus loves them.

is this because you don't know bible verses

like in those fils where they go, its some kind of unbreakable code
and then cop a goes wait what if the numbers aren't the code itself
but what if there telling us a message
oh look i have all the seperate volumes of the bible on my book shelf none of that old or new testament here

The last time I saw it happen was on one of the CSI shows. The found a tattoo of some numbers on a dead body and the guy was like "Some kind of code maybe?" and the other guy was all "It's bible verses. blahblahblahquotewholefuckingpage"

hell i think i've seen at least two cop films/shows
where the cop was a priest previously and stopped for some awful reason
and then they preach how god found them again
