end of buu saga stronger then a super saiyan who just became one?

Hard to say. It gets really confusing, the Buu Saga. Trunks and Goten are essentially "new" Super Saiyans and they seem to hold their own well enough. Heck, their fusion form is one of the strongest heroes ever presented in the canon.

Since Buu took Piccolo's characteristics when the Gotenks fusion ended I think Piccolo is stronger than the kids.

Stronger that their base forms at least.

I'd assume they reverted to base when the fusion wore off, since they're in base when we see them inside Buu.

yeah they most likely used up tehre energy reserves and hence were stuck in base

You'd think that Buu can tap into all of their strength when he absorbs someone.

Was it ever stated that fusion wores you out? The only thing stated is that you have to wait an hour before you can do it again IIRC.

And the Kai weakened him because he was pure and all that stuff.

that suggested they'd used up an awful lot of energy

and he then used up a second fusion with them

they're energy resevres should've been depleted
hell goku couldn't handle the ssj3 form for long
