| I played all BoFs ages back but I still own BoF4 and BoF5. Haven't finished 5 yet, too lazy to and the place it takes place in is unappealing and boring. The forth one however was epic, fun memories. :3 | |

| III is great, IV is amazing.
Dragon Quarter is hit or miss, I liked it, though.

Dragon Quarter is hit or miss, I liked it, though. You are awesome, fan of SoA and likes the forth one of BoF. w00t. The Kaiser's birth scene in the forth one was epic, and Ryu got his own dialogue box during that part, LAWL(excluding the "Good" ending when he does you know what).

| Played all of them.
I'd rank em in this order personally:
BoF4 > BoF2 > BoF:DQ > BoF3 > BoF1
BoF 4 was the first game in the series I played and I luved it. BoF 2 was also pretty entertaining. DQ I hated at first but it grew on me after a while. BoF3 I found a bit boring to be perfectly honest and BoF1 is just way too outdated to enjoy nowdays

| Because the whole thing is just.... incredibly slow, the graphics and music are pretty simplistic for a SNES game, the translation was terrible (BoF2 also had a terrible translation but in an entirely different way, BoF2's translation was too literal, BoF1's translation bares almost no resemblance to the original script), the battles are incredibly slow in comparison to the other games, you have to take a wild guess with what the skill names does because it's all abbreviated, you are frequently wandering around aimlessly for your next objective while the game doesn't give any clue as to where to go and the lack of running (GBA version fixed this however).
It's an alright game at the time of it's release but now it's just a little under average to me. It hasn't aged well at all and there isn't much to the game to let you replay it (Earthbound hasn't aged well but it's wackiness makes you come back for more for example).
The others have just aged a bit better IMO.
As for BoF3, my main problem with it is that it's just incredibly slow starting. A fair chunk of the game is really, just the prologue and that irked me greatly.

| Such an opinion on a game tends to occur when you play the sequels prior to the original.
I just thought the Rudra and Agni dragon transformations were pretty damn cool.

| Eh... not really. BoF1 was the second BoF game I played and even if you factor in how old the game is, there were still other games that came out on the SNES around the same time, maybe a little after it that were just much better in execution.
It was a decent but not amazing game at the time that nowadays it is probably a bit under average and it's hard to replay.
BoF2 was better, even though I thought the dragon system was incredibly weak in that game.

Sad thing is, you play half the game with Ryu as a child. Quite literally half the game is a prologue. It was alright though but it was an incredibly slow game so it would be my least favorite if it wasn't for BoF1.
