I lost.

| You mean you finally bought it? Even if you don't like it (though I think you will), at least you'll have tried it. Kudos. | |

| The price was halved. And I need to know what the big deal is with this game.
It's gonna be pretty hard though. I typically just attack everything in sight, but that's not gonna cut it for this game.

It's ****ing awesome, that's what the big deal is. - Quote :

Well, it is a strategy game, so that tactic does work providing you're equipped for it. Early game, Lancers and Snipers are next to useless, so you'll be relying on your Scouts and Shocktroopers a lot, though it's often best just to use your scouts for running past everything; they don't have the constitution to stand and fight.

| So I can now form my team. Should I for now just put it full with Scouts and Shocktroopers? | |

| I did a few skirmishes and then levelled my Scouts and Stormtroopers to level 4. The rest is still level 1. Also, I pretty much bought everything that I could possibly buy in the shop. | |

[/shame] Happened to Kenji once, too. And he lost when the first tank arrived, too.

Early game, then I'd recommend maybe the odd lancer if you need to get through a tank or two, but otherwise yeah, Scouts and Shocktroopers are the way to go. Late game, your best lancers can one shot a tank from halfway across the battlefield, and snipers (or marina to be more specific) can literally shoot off your eyelashes from the other end of the map. Scouts are still the best class all round though.

| I find Shocktroopers a lot better than Scouts, but that's probably because these are the early part of the game.
My usual strategy consists of Shocktroopers one-shotting everything, after which I quickly move the Scouts towards the enemy base. Scouts are just too weak.

| Once the scouts start levelling up, they learn skills like 'resist crossfire', and they can walk through tons of gunfire with barely a scratch. | |

| I just finished the game again, and it made me remember just how awesome Faldio is. The anime depiction makes him seem like an arse, but game Faldio is a gloriously flawed gem. | |

| I've only seen Faldio in one cutscene and he appeared as a genuine nice guy.
So at one point he'll probably betray you or act like an arse, otherwise Chou wouldn't have been so fond of him.

he's a genuinely nice guy, but his priorities are different to Welkins, they value different things. - Quote :

Chou's quite right to like him. If you check back over this topic, you'll see that it took me a while to 'get' him too, but I shan't spoil the surprise.

| Faldio is a hero with great sense of style. That's all. Speaking of the anime, I can't understand why he had to punch Welkin in the end of the last episode. | |
