Who out of you guys/gals actually play beat em ups?

remake was a fan made game

it has all characters in the series and will have a custom level maker

its basically the closest thing to SOR4 you'll ever see

Viewtiful Joe is freakin' amazing. Unique in so many ways <3.

oh yeah it was fun playing with the speed up and slow down

hmm i wonder if it would work in 3d

I just liked how they had some puzzles move around a 3-D enviorment while sticking to the 2-D side scrolling action. Though they weren't often they were great while they were their. But for a really good brawler The Bouncer was a pretty good one.

the robots were annoying to fight though

Some more than others I would have to agree to that.

well you were on your own for that part
so you couldn't use team moves and those were awesome

you were without your team members and also you couldn't grab them

it limited yhour moves a lot

Oh ok. The demo was showing a lot of promise when that first came out but then they got rid of a lot of stuff. Made me so sad.

and notice how things like the team kmove reset everyones positions
that was fairly crap

they also promised kicking ppl off balconies which was also removed

I still liked the game even though it made less sense by the time I beat it... Is that how it's supposed to work?

you needed to complete it with everyone like 3 or 4 times to unlock all the story

Screw that. The story wasn't all that great anyway. Even though it did have it's moments. Now I know this isn't a brawler but Parasite Eve one and two were awesome enough to be played more than once each time just to get more of the story. Though in part two you could unlock the gunblade.

a truly good game you'd want to replay

Indeed. Another good one which is still something of a shooter was megaman legends one and two. Both were so great.

i only played the first one it was alright

i think if they did a next gen versio and managed to speed up a combat a little it woulod be amazing

Then play part two. That one was amazing. Blew the first one out of the water and the combat was made to be really fast paced and frantic at certain points in the game.

The only ones I played are viewtiful joe for psp and golden axe

Am I the only one who hasn't played Viewtiful Joe?
I played Streets of Rage (3, I think), and it was all right. DIdn't love it, didn't hate it, kinda like crab.

viewtiful joe was big at the time

and streets of rage 3 is a dull shadow of two

I thought of picking up Viewtiful Joe for the PS2, but I never got round to it.

Viewtiful Joe is funny and fun but streets of rage was the kind of brawler where you either needed all the cheats or were just a natural badass at it. Viewtiful Joe is the easier of the two. But that's just me.
