| MGS4 was a mediocre game. The mechanics were solid but the game suffered from increasingly linear levels and generally uninspired gameplay sequences that restricted the use of these mechanics.
The story hit all the right emotional cues, but in hindsight they feel shallow and if you dwell on the story you'll realize it's a mess. | |

| I thought it was fun. The only segment I really didn't like was tailing the resistance member in Act 3. At first it seemed neat, but then it grew into this overly long tedious section that just wouldn't end. Some cutscenes were a bit too long as well.
Overall, 3's still my favourite one so far. I'll be moving on to Peace Walker and Revengeance next. | |
