Concerning places like Sendspace and such...

Is there a rule against putting any links of things that you've done yourself here, if you placed your things at Sendspace? Just wondering.

If the answer's no, then I won't worry about it. Just figured I asked anyway.

well put it this way if its like a mod for a PC game
to my knowledge those aren't illegal
but if you can play the game fully solely from this fan made thing then it most likely is illegal

I suppose it depends on whether the software used is copyrighted. It shouldn't matter if it's full game as long as it's meant to be freeware and not something you'd normally have to pay for. Even if it's copyrighted, if it's meant to be free it shouldn't a problem.

Well, Case Maker was free and available to download for everyone at Court Records, the respected fansite of the Pheonix Wright/Apollo Justice series.

Well then I guess it would depend on whether they had sole distribution rights.

I see. I know that one of the Case Makers that are used by Phoenix Wright fans is under the GNU deal, so that is possible.
