From the creators of the Xenosaga series.
Who else has played this game? Of course, I'm talking about the first one, not Origins (which I haven't played... yet).
I just started playing this game again after neglecting my second file for two years. It's pretty good, and the Card Battle system is pretty unique, although entirely luck-based, so it can get pretty frustrating at times.
The voice acting in this game is horrendous, though. Thankfully, it's not Chaos War or Shining Force bad.

Great game with a really strong plot. I'd replay it if I wasn't bored of levelling up. Origins was never released in Europe unfortunately.

That game was superb.
I beat it once, tried it again several months later, got irritated by how slowly you run on the world map, saved my game, and went to load up my old endgame file.
Which I overwrote with my new file. I was PISSED.
Anyway, the card system is really NOT luck based, if you know what you're doing when you build your deck.

Fantastic game. Origins was not good, however.
And the card system wasn't entirely luck-based, although luck did have some say in it. It's possible that you'll end up with a hand full of healing cards on your first turn in a boss battle when everyone's fully healed already. But that's an especially bad situation.

You just need to specialize each character's deck.
I know the MC had NO healing cards when I played, and one of the characters, I think the blond chick, had all healing cards.
