it's our first game this evening, against Italy. We beat them in a friendly a couple of months ago so shouldn't be an issue...


BUT we're missing a lot of our best defenders, so our defense is weak, and we had a couple of friendlies last week that didn't leave the best impression even though we won 2 and tied 1, so confidence isn't really too high at the moment for me, but it should be doable.

Italy's goal a perfect example of how screwed our defense currently is.

this is embarassing, such a good team, such talent, every statistic in the game is in our favor, except for the goals...


I've been saying this for years that we have such a good team, such good players, it's a golden generation that can last for another 2 Championships after this one, and it pains me that the world is not seeing it.

English fans do get involved in shit often, but that said we do have lots of normal fans who act appropriately unfortunately for some reason the Russians are gunning for the English fans and this shits happening.

ugh, I knew it. We already had a weaker defense going into this tournament, then 2 of our best defenders fall out right before this important match, 2 newbies get to play and it's going to hell. And to think we were leading with 0-1.

I'm still relatively satisfied. We did just as good as the World Championship while missing key players in our defense. We did alright, we showed our true class against Hungary, which was great and we'll be better again come WC in 2 years. It's still a very young team, lots of potential to grow.
