The game was originally in development as a launch title for PlayStation 3. We wanted to highlight the action elements rather than fixate on the RPG elements.
Although people would say, “you only announced it, you haven’t made anything,” we were still making it under the surface. Ni-Oh runs at 60 frames per second.
To depict the world of Japanese yokai culture in its highest quality, we made Ni-Oh a PlayStation 4-exclusive. There will be huge boss yokai that appear.
We want to let users play the game before it releases.
It was thanks to Ni-Oh remaining on Famitsu’s anticipated games feature as a rookie candidate that the team was able to keep up development.

In the first game it does, depending on your interpretation of certain things.

Tried the demo. It's not my preferred kind of difficult. I like all the systems in place, and the stances are an interesting idea. It's just the ki bar. I don't like having a limiter like that. Being able to press the stance button or switch stances to speed up ki recovery is cool. I noticed the Low stance also gets a free dodge during ki recovery. But it's not for me. I'll continue hoping for an awesome Ninja Gaiden 4.

That's The main thing Though that boss was really cheap, I still think that.
Looking back at the game I really did like it, with the exception of the Voice track. Its nothing like lords of the fallen but i guess its still tagged as souls like nevertheless I too am looking forward to it.

Ugh, I cant agree with this. Some of them anyway....
Add tutorials regarding the game system. Adjust balance mainly in the opening sections to make battles fairer. Improve controls and camera system. Improve the understandability and usability of the UI. Improve graphic performance
■ Details
Tutorials
Implement a training stage for tutorials on basic controls and core game actions.
Action & Controls
Improve player & camera behavior during lock-on. Change the conditions under which the player character becomes unresponsive when the Ki Gauge is empty. Expand item shortcut slots. Revise the objects which require holding a button and the response to the hold input. Improve detection for the half-circle analog stick input.
Enemies
Adjust attack and defense parameters of enemies. Revise enemy pursuit of the player. Revise superarmor (stagger/no stagger) for each enemy and attack. Adjust Revenant AI.
Level Design/Stages
Improve exploration elements such as shortcuts, etc. Add hints to guide players to boss areas. Revise the display of objects that block the view of the player character. Adjust fire area damage.
UI
Improve layout and displayed information. Adjust text size. When making an offering at a shrine, allow the player to perform all actions at once.
Online
Improve online synchronization. Allow the host to use the Shrine menu during co-op play with a Visitor. Adjust the rate at which enemy parameters increase during co-op play.
Other
Remove durability stat for weapons and armor. Adjust the drop rate for equipment. Add a new control type. Implement a flow to allow players to exit a mission. Fix other bugs.
It appears that the "asia" region is the culprit *sigh*

Which things specifically do you disagree with?

The reduction in enemy AI and boss AI, Removal of enemy pursuit, Removal of the Durability system.
Theres really no need for a tutorial it takes like, 30 seconds to figure out how to play.
Simply put I fear this game might become a mindless Action game. I believe that the alpha was tough yet fair but I guess KT are in disagreement *sigh*

I agree with you on most of the but the durability system was pretty awful. Unless there was going to be a way to repair items in the full game without grinding the repair items from enemies it wasn't going to accomplish anything other than add a bunch of tedium.

The drop rate for repair items was pretty generous and they seemed to improve repair all of that type of item you had equipped i.e. both swords or whole armor set.
That said I find durability an annoying stat in anything.
There is always the arguement that it adds an element of strategy and have to think about using different equipemnt so you can't just abuse and spam that one extra rare weapon you have on general enemies.
Does anyone know how many weapon types are in the full game?

The most 2 most simplest way to counter durability would be to have it added to the shrine or readily buy able, I didnt think it would get outright removed ....
Thats absolutely right, and now you can why switch weapons at all? I wouldn't have in the alpha.
No one knows the answer to that yet Buu, at least until the game comes out. I'll keep this thread updated as more info comes.

Good stuff Koei. Also another Demo has been announced, It'll be a while before it comes out. But I do hope it still does retains its difficulty.

I find the concept of Nioh's graphic settings interesting.
• PS4, Option 1: “Movie Mode” This mode focuses on resolution over frame rate, offering beautiful high resolution graphics with stable 30fps
• PS4, Option 2: “Action Mode” Here the emphasis is on frame rate, providing a stable 60fps
• PS4, Option 3: “Movie Mode (Variable frame rate)” Finally, this option provides high resolution graphics with a variable frame rate that may go over 30fps.
• PS4 Pro, HD display. Option 1: “Movie Mode” Stable 1920×1080 resolution with high quality anti-aliasing at 30fps
• PS4 Pro, HD display. Option 2: “Action Mode” Stable 1920×1080 resolution at 60fps

Does anyone have this other than me? i have finished the main story (still have some side quests to do) and am going to start NG+. From what i've read NG+ works differently in this game, you can switch between NG & NG+ at the start of every level.
Currently, i am level 108 and am helping people randomly through the torii gate so i can get my glory up & buy some more disguises
