Games damn fun played the shit out of it yesterday with Kittens.
Its pretty metroidvania. I made the assumption it was another lego game, but its actually a dungeon crawler of sorts. I'm not using guides so i'll just mention gameplay elements I found while playing:
- Loot system: Find or create armour and weapons, Armour sets exist, there's accessories which give you new abilities i.e. double jump, wall slides
- Magic system: There is magic I have a mana bar I can't beat the boss who beat the living crap out of me, and kittens decided to die before we reached it, i'm wondering if beating him will give magic
- Weapons: seems to be all types, swords (one or two handed), spears, explosives, guns, bow and arrows, boomerrangs
- It has grapple hooks
- NPCs: Depending on your feats and if you build houses, people will move into your town as shops maybe other things, but everyone so far sells me specialist items
- Simple building I highlight this because making a straight line for two or three walls and being able to shove platforms whe you fall down holes is useful, i even build temp walls for a temporary shield from enemies then remove it and hit back, with two people you can do a lot of cool shit like this i imagine.
- the world is huge it goes deep and it goes very far in every direction i'm just pissing about in a specific direction till i die.
- your character persists, if you do dumb things like waste rare material no problem you can create a new world loot it then return to the world you were just in.
- difficulties: easy (only lose money on death), normal (lose items on death), hardcore (permadeath basically turns it into a roguelike), I assume when you die you drop your stuff in easy and normal and likely can regain it i might be wrong.
EDIT: Trying to find out more info a vita and ps3 version it is also coming to ps4. It has 4 player splitscreen on PS3.
