Did Prince Valiant always have a '90s music video as its opening?

What do you mean? The show started in 1991. If you mean was the opening the same around the world, in England that was the opening and I assume so in America as thats from teh soundtrack made for the show.

I know when it started. I watched it back in the day. What I'm saying is that I don't recall that intro and was surprised by its contemporary...ness.

I'm trying to remember if it was the same back when I saw it in South Africa. I keep thinking of some kind of epic narration with dramatic music instead of that, but I'm not certain. I think someone should look into this.
