I honestly can't ever take MK seriously the games have all been crap, aside from MK2 and 3. Combos are dull as fuck and gameplay is so slow I can't stand it. The coolest things were the falling, wall smashing and close combat from the MK v DC one. X-ray moves were reptetive too long breaking the flow of combat, too easy to pull off and didn't look very cool once you'd seen them once.

how do you embed it now? i tried putting http in front of the www. but it didnt work, BD told me how he does it but that didnt work either. i didnt mind MK9 because it had the tower stuff so you could do challenges but i know what you're saying about the xray crap, they even put it on here but its pointless when you break a leg & they just keep going like it never happened. This would be so much better if Sub-zero was hobbling after & maybe crying a little from pain rather than just kicking Scorpion in the face

what did MK9 have? i dont remember any but i assume there was some

MK9 had 4 DLC characters and some costumes.

MK has a horrendously overpriced DLC model compared to most fighting games, especially considering how little difference you feel between characters. It annoys me when MK fans piss and moan about other games DLC.

Injustice charges around £4 per character. To put that in perspective you can buy ultra street fighter 4 with all existing DLC for the price of 4 characters and that version has 5 characters new to SF4 and if you skipped any versions of SF4 you're getting a lot more characters then that.

Story starts right after MK9 and ends 25 years later, Johnny and Sonya had a kid, every character has 3 different styles, etc.





I haven't played an MK game since Armageddon, but I'll probably get this.

Damn it. I was looking forward to playing as Kung Lao because his rushdown game seems ridiculously good, but I'm a huge fan of Johnny Cage since the 2D era.

Johnny Cage is the best MK character, he's got sunglasses and is the only guy in a fighting game smart enough to punch you in the nuts.

Also Kotal kahn looks like ogre had sex with an aztec.

MK9 was fun, though I never played it at anything more than a basic level. I always fall back to Scorpion; I can remember playing the original MK in the arcades, there was always a crowd gathered, and seeing their faces when you pulled off a fatality... hold block, press up twice, TOASTY!

I find MK fun as a novelty I don't really feel like its worth the time investment to get good, as the combat itself doesn't look as cool as some other games. TBH though thats very subjective.

I agree, but you've to consider that MK and Injustice are also much more simple than Japanese fighting games.

You'll have to face my Jason then. I'm a fan of Friday the 13th movies, even though they got pretty bad after the fourth film. I hope they will bring back Freddy as well; Injustice had 6 DLC characters, so the way more popular MKX should have at least as many. Tanya and Tremor (who the fuck is he?!) are disappointing choices.
