GTA4 non major decisions

I was wondering does it make a difference if you kill people other then the ones where it says you have the choice diredtly
on one of the early missions for some reason i did twice no idea why
i shot a guy and the boss said you got the money it doesn't matter
but then i did the mission again and stun punched him and the boss goes you are a smart man, dead people can't pay interest

I don't think those actions make a difference, besides getting a slightly difference cutscene.

They affect which random characters you'll meet throughout the game, sometimes.

will it affect my gameplay

like is it better to kill or not kill them

in some mission where you goto a sex shop

I think the only ones that affect the story or your gameplay options are the ones where you're told to either kill someone or let them live.

But yeah, times like that. Also times when you have to kill someone or let them live, like in that early mission where the guy is hanging off the roof and you have to either knock him of or help him up.
