| good question BCD but one that i cant give a definitive answer to..
i think they are great if you can branch off the story to another one but if its just changing something at the end of the game to get another ending then i dont see the point in it

| It depends on how they're handled. Persona 4's multiple endings were all radically different and came at different points in the calendar. P4 Golden even added on a couple of months of extra game time if the correct conditions were met. At the other end of the spectrum, you get efforts like the original ending to Mass Effect 3. Three different endings, but they were functionally 99% identical.
On the whole though, I like the idea of multiple endings, just not always the execution.

| Depends on the game and how the endings are achieved. Case in point, Way of The Samurai 4, Run around and do shit and get an ending according to what you did. A-Okay to me. Grand Theft Auto V, Play the game however they allow you and then - Spoiler:
pick whether you want to kill either of the white guys or keep all three characters
...Whatever, I guess it's fine. Mass Effect 3... Fuck you, I haven't even played Mass Effect and I still think that shit is ridiculous. I'd almost get the trilogy collection just for the simple fact that ME1 finally made it to PS3, But nope, 3 is so bad when it comes to the multiple endings that it may as well be the same fucking ending. Fuck DL'ing a better ending, I'm just not gonna get it to begin with and settle for The Walking Dead. Atleast the "multiple endings" (all 2 of them) for Season 1 is justified. And Season 2 looks to be even better. If there's a Season 3, I hope it completely shits on everything ME3 stands for and then piledrives ME3's face through the shit, into the dirt, and then buries it by shitting on it some more. In short, If a game makes it a point to give a lot of choices to make throughout the game, It better fucking be worth it. If a game has multiple endings just to have them, Fine, whatever. I find a favourite and then continue playing the game (if that's an option. otherwise, I'll either start over or play something else).

| I like them. Mainly because it rewards you on how well you completed the game. | |

| If i like the game its great, as it just adds more reason to play the game again.
If its an arbitrary choice end game its normally dumb but i guess it can sometimes be fun if it doesn't feel out of character.
