March 25th NA and March 28th EU. I'll probably get this looks like a twisted Tower Defence game.

it's not really a tower defense, you basically lure enemies itrying to kill you into traps and kill them. the funnest part is coming up with combos to decimate enemies. the longer combo and the more variety you use, the better your reward.
i'm glad tecmo finally brought this series back

So am I walking around and I have my traps set up? Then do I just make enemies follow me to traps?

pretty much. if the enemies remains similar to the older ones as the game goes by you face more skilled enemies have the ability to dodge, block, or are immune to your traps depending on the trap type. for example, mages / wizards are usually immune to the element they used, barbarian / warrior types can block wall pushing traps, and the tougher guys like generals had a combination of trap types they could block or dodge.
it looks like they're changing the trap types though from ceiling, wall, and floor. those three daemons look like they represent trap types now

If I would have time to play this I'd definitely get it. At some point I will get it, let me know what you get it on. I'm curious if the vita version looks crap comparatively.

Not sure myself It depends on whats on my backlog. I was.... leaning towards the Vita version, however PS3 version seems to appeal to me more. So it would probably be PS3

It doesn't sound like you're being as sadistic as the game wants you to be.

what if i launched a buzzsaw that dragged them to a launch pad that sent them flying then landing on a rake that smacked them into a giant hammer swinging from the ceiling smashing them into a spiked water wheel that dragged them into a cannon that launched them into an electric chair that fries them then ejects them into the air and after slamming onto the ground where a vase lands on their head that confuses them into walking into a spinning bear trap then while dazed, a pumpkin falls onto their head confusing them again to walk into a trap wall that sends them flying perfectly in place for a giant guillotine to cleave them?
