No thanks to Project X Zone, I'm waiting on Vesperia so I can see how awesome Yuri Lowell is. Problem is, It's still Japan exclusive. And I know fuck all when it comes to reading that mess. :V

Then you will never learn bazongas. You have to want it. You have to need it!
It sucks, but Vesperia PS3 isn't getting localized anytime soon. And by anytime soon, I mean we'll be lucky if we get it for PS4 or PS5 at all.
At least we're getting Xillia 2 and Symphonia Chronicles (the enhanced ToS PS2 port that never left Japan + ToS2) next year.

If you like action Japanese and slightly perverted RPGs. I'm sure that BD would like it.
There is only one thing I didn't like. Bosses break out of combos too easily, so there is no point in playing this game on higher difficulties unless you enjoy 20 minutes long fights.

From the looks of things, this franchise seems to have stayed somewhat consistent in quality unlike SE's constant stumbling with the FF series. If it's almost as decent as Tales of Symphonia was, it's probably worth a try.
Really, the only thing I can see that's holding this series back are the horrendous, art styles they keep going with. Not that an anime style is bad(they are JRPGs after all), but generally, it looks like the art directions were spearheaded by teenage girls. This particular installment seems to have finally dailed it back a tiny bit, but for future releases, they really need to find a new look. Something more restrained and akin to Miyazaki's works and such.
Still, even if they stick with these art styles, I guess one can tolerate it so long as the gameplay is still good. I'm just sayin' that it would help tremendously if they went with a look that's more unique and understated and less like this:

God, I loved Legendia. ...I never finished it, But I loved it. ...I think I got stuck at a boss or something. Mind you, I also got stuck on Birdthulhu Sephiroth, But that's because I used to never grind on these RPGs. Just rush through to see what happens next in the story. lol

If you think Milla looks bad, watch this:
It's sooo bad around 2:15-2:20.

Needless to say, but Alvin has the best design in the series. That scarf is excellent.

I see Xillia 2 is catering to the teenage girls or gay fans.
I hope it features some bazongas too.

I think that's one of the ways to summon BD.

Xillia 2 has lots of fanservice, but no bazonga skits. Kinda disappointing. At least we learn that Jude has been exploring his sexy side. Muzét is godly too. For some reason she reminds me of BD. Also this is one of the 5 endings apparently:

Rowen seems to be enjoying it. It will probably take me forever to unlock this ending as I just started NG+. There is another extra ending for beating the EX dungeon and the cameo battle which I haven't seen yet, but I hope it's good because the the others sucked.
Why doesn't Jude and Milla end up together? For fuck's sake, even their character sidequests focus on human and spirits love stories.

Playing the game again made me realise that the main story may be a bit short for its genre, even though you'll have to clear it twice to see all the dialogue options, but it has way too much extra content. It's kinda amazing actually that they could come up with all these stuff.
- character sidestories. Each character has 4-6 chapters that focus on them and even include unique bosses. The storylines are great and clearing them adds bonus scenes in the main story.
- the bonus chapter which is awesome and concludes basically the sidestories of Jude and Milla.
- job requests which are mainly fetch quests or kill some monsters for gald and items. Some of them are related to the story and have cutscenes.
- a special job request which is the conclusion to one of the main sidequests of Xillia
Spoiler:
the one with the evil shrine maidens. They are revealed to be the great spirit of underworld, Pluto, who is a powerful boss.
- the elite monsters sidequest. They are 25 extra bosses scattered around the map. After you finish the game, they show up again, but a lot stronger.
- the kitty dispatch mechanic. You basically send your cats to find items in areas you've already visited. There are 100 cats in the game to be found and more cats = higher chance to find rare items.
- building Ludger's trust with the rest of his team. Unlocks skits, costumes, skills, artes and the dual mystic artes (personally I prefer the Jude x Milla mystic arte). 3 NPCs also have secret affinity meters and you receive special weapons as a reward for gaining their trust.
- poker
- the arena where you fight waves of enemies and bosses from Xillia 1 and 2 in tag or party mode
- crafting. Some of the recipes, items and weapons can only be unlocked from the arena, kitty dispatch, secret stores and the job quests.
- Ludger's massive debt. Poor Ludger was forced to take a 20m loan in the beginning of the game. There is so much gald to be found post-game that paying off his debt is actually possible and you can unlock costumes, skills and artes for the characters, friendship potions and the hot spring ending.
- the ex dungeon which is really hard and has 2 bosses for each character
- the cameo battle that unlocks another extra ending. I believe you have to complete the arena, the ex dungeon and some job quests before it becomes available.
Add in the amazing combat system, one of the very best in the series, the 9 playable characters, the skits, the accessories and other stuff... This could be the Tales of game with the most content and surprisingly it was released just one year after Xillia. (which had a longer main story, but way less extra content).
Also, the final boss fight has a very hype and catchy battle theme:

The cameo battle was super intense on the highest difficulty. Stahn's Beast oneshots your characters, Mint casts Nurse and Revitalize and even resurrected herself once, Cress has an attack that freezes your character if it hits and Rutee's Tidal Waves killed all my AI teammates because they didn't block, so I had to use my precious Omega Elixirs. Loved it.
Ironically the cameo ending is the only one where
Spoiler:
Ludger and Elle both lived.
Now all I've left is getting the platinum trophy, but it'd take hours of grinding. Dunno if I can be bothered.
Also, you can buy skins for your characters from the EX dungeon. Replacing Elize or Leia with taller character models makes the cutscenes and victory poses a bit weird. Let's just say there is a lot of groping going on.
