Hi guys.

My name's Damian, I'm from Poland (Europe). I'm 17yo high school student. I also work remotely in my free time as PHP developer (getting experience for the future :p). I like gaming (have PS3), reading books (but my English isn't good enough for English ones) and watching anime.

English isn't my native language, so I'm sure I'm gonna do a lot of mistakes

You might be wondering why I signed up. Well, I found this forum thanks to the topic about Instant Games Collection for PS3 in EU (this one). I was kinda surprised how popular can be just an usual forum, not dedicated to any concrete topic. There are no such Polish forums, so I decided to check this one out.

Anyway, there's one thing that worries me. When I signed up, I received my password on my mail. Does it mean forum stores passwords in database in plain text? Not hashed and salted?

There's no way for me to see your password.  I can reset it for you, but that about it.  If you feel unsafe, I'd recommend just using a different password to normal, if you use one for everything.

Welcome and glad you like it here and thought people would like that EU plus topic its very handy.

Also i'd be really suprised if someone wanted to hack your account on this website and I can spot that very easily. If you ever have any concerns about security just let me know and i'll try and sort it out asap.

I don't feel unsafe (I use 20-char randomly generated password) - just storing passwords in plain text is kinda stupid and I was just asking if they really are. But if they aren't, it's all ok

Completely unrelated, but as you are Polish are you familiar with CD Projekt Red, they're a polish game developer and a couple of users here love them.

Yeah, I played Witcher 2, it was really good, but comparing to other games it isn't really an outstanding game. But I'm really excited about Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, they're planning to release it in 2015

Yeah, i'm looking forward to that game. Hopefully its awesome. I do like cyberpunk settings.

Also don't worry about your english, we have fluent english speakers who butcher the english language regularly, the guys will point out any grammatical errors and that will hopefully help your fluency.

BTW is there another Poland, I just noticed you put Europe next to it lol. We've got a lot of Europeans on here.

Basically I wasn't sure where are most users from. So I decided to put "Europe", because Poland is a small and not well known outside Europe country
