Heavenly Sword isn't getting a theatrical release though.

In case there was any doubt left as to whether Insomniac cared about R&C anymore. I'm sure when it bombs some executive will decide that nobody likes the franchise anymore.

Word is Insomniac is heavily involved. Script writer for the games is on board as well as the proper voice actors.

They should just make another game and actually make it good if they care, this just seems like "We want the Pixar audience." Who do they expect to watch this?

Qwark is heavily inspired by Buzz so part of me likes the idea but also hates it.

They already made the game since the film is apparently based on the story from the original R&C.

Why the hell is a Heavenly Sword movie being made, no one cared about that game.

In that case there's even less reason to give a shit about it if you're actually a fan of the series. I'll repeat myself, who is this for because it's definitely not for the R&C fanbase who, no doubt, would rather get another actual game.

Its just exploiting the younger audience. If the humour is up to the game it would just be an average kids film. I think it will be a money maker and as long as its not offensively bad, i'm not too fussed.

If it does do ok at the box office and encourages Insomniac to make an R and C game more similar to the original trilogy or even more like crack in time i'd be happy.

Look who decided to jump on the movie bandwagon.
