Yes, Daft Punk is releasing a new album in one month. Yes, it's got collaborators out the wazoo. Chances it's awesome? High.
It's been eight years since Human After All and electronic music has changed so much since then. Daft Punk has become a big name since it started in 1997 even lending their music and images to Interstella 5555 and making the soundtrack for Tron Legacy. Thomas and Guy-Manuel have watched and worked on a new sound that they suggest will challenge the current dance music paradigm. Minimal electronic devices. Sparc use of drum machine. Only one track with a sample. It's gonna rule and they're gonna make the best electronic music of the past decade.
