Kinda. We have one in our house but I've only played it a handful of times. I softmodded it at one point but never ended up doing anything with it because it's really picky with what external hard drives it works with and I didn't have a SD card at the time. If I wanted to play a Wii game now I'd probably just emulate it.

Fair point. Not that I haven't tried them, I have, and I actually own some of the games on that list, I'd just forgotten about them, infamous, Uncharted and LBP included. They're all competent but left me cold. So yes, I did try Uncharted, it's just that like Resi 4 and Kingdom Hearts 2, depsite the general praise for it, I never "got" it. You should know by now that I will never write off a game without trying it first, even if that means occasionally playing some tat.

Hell, I just finished Nier, which is about as rough a game as I've played this gen, just because a few people I knew had said it was good and it was dirt cheap.

I don't mean the series is innovative all the way through, I meant that you can't accuse them of being generic if they were the original trendsetters. You could say, with some justification, that the sequels have failed to introduce too much new, that they've stuck too close to the original formula, but that doesn't make them generic. I'm not the biggest fan of either Gears or Halo, and while I do appreciate their strengths I'm not blind to their weaknesses.

Forza, mind you, I genuinely love.

Don't forget this generation has lasted longer than any previous, so popular franchises are bound to have a higher sequel count.

I will of course concede that AAA 360 exclusives are few and far between, most of the exclusives now seem to be Arcade titles.

Fair enough, but there is a huge difference between 4 games in a series and 3 in the same gen. It might not seem a lot to you but given the time scale it is quite a big difference. In the defence of Yakuza the games had huge leaps in gameplay between each iteration (a samurai game, a shooter, increasing playable characters, and finally adding in 5 cities with new characters) and much more than now you can buy dlc gun colours a la gears of war.

Also Asscreed having 5 iterations in all fairness two of those were effectively multiplayer expansions (as much as i liked revelations). Although i really don't think its fair to compare Ass creed and Cod when we're talking about quality titles. I can't really comment on forza and it could be the best racing game ever, which i doubt as burnout last gen pretty much kicks the shit out of anything in terms of fun factor. That said i'm not saying the quality of forza is bad or the exclusives on 360 but with how much they are thinning and when your IPs are effectively appealing to shooter fans, how can you genuinely recommend a system on that. I'd honestly tell someone to stick to there PC or get a Wii U or PS3 just as the game selection will be inevitably better (yeah i know wii u has jack on it, but lets face it zelda + mario + smash + fire emblem + monster hunter will keep anyone happy).

I'll wait until the games are out before I even consider a Wii U. Given how lukewarm the reception for the hardware has been and how poor the software support has been, I don't see Wii U as being particularly viable at the moment.

Besides, I've got a 3DS for Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter, and I can count on one hand the amount of hours I've spent on the 3DS this month!

So, even though the concept of Enter the Dominatrix was expanded into a full game, Enter the Dominatrix will still be coming out as DLC for SR4.

It's the exact same city from SR3, and the same game engine/graphics too. Except with aliens and superpowers. It does look like a lot of fun.

The super powers look fun. I might just play this instead of SR3.

I'll buy it just because I love SR enough to be a new release and I'm sure there's more stuff than just that.

Yeah, we could. There were stories of copies of Mortal Kombat 9 being seized at customs though, god knows how seriously they'll take it this time.

The issue is not that I want the game though, as I've said I really don't. The problem is that we had to campaign for literally years on end just to get an 18+ rating introduced and now, when it seemed like progress had finally been made, a game that should be available to adults is being banned. If that's going to happen anyway what's the fucking point in an 18+ rating?

EDIT: It's basically like, instead of allowing adults to make their own choices, the classifications board has just bumped up a bunch of games that would have been 15+ to 18+ and continued to ban everything they would have before.
