Has anyone gotten an invite to the beta for this, or have any info. on the release date. It sounds like this is what MAG should have been. The Gameplay vids I've seen look really good, and the interaction with the people playing EVE online sounds awesome.

I think you need to do something in home to get access to the beta.

Balls! I haven’t been on home in years. All the updates would take forever to download. Home was fun for like an hour. And I did organize the first ever sit-in protest on there (No joke I got like 60 people sitting around chanting "Hell no, We wont go!"). But just gets boring really fast. I think I'll skip the beta.

you could sign up for the beta not too long ago, I signed up with 2 emails but didn't get anything yet.
anyways, I'll definitely be playing this, it's completely free anyways and the concept of interaction with EVE Online intrigues me.

That's what really got my attention.
Plus I love larger match ups. That's what I liked most about MAG, and in R2 Large TDM's comp. modes. I have a hard time playing other shooters because there isn't enough people running around. From what I've read Dust will work their way up to 128 player battles, and even increase that over time.
Sounds great to me.

So is this like an FPSMMORPG? Because I recently signed up for some beta thing on the main site simply because it was a beta to a game, you know.

no, this is an FPS that ties into an MMORPG or whatever EVE Online's genre is.
but Dust is purely an FPS.

I was gonna make tons of footage, but apparently I'm not allowed to, and can only talk about it in the official Dust forums.

The beta is available as part of Plus, so you should be able to do whatever you want.

wow, this is some confusing shite:
- equipping whatever you wanna equip is convoluted as hell (still haven't figured out how to make my own loadout with whatever I wanna put in it) - I have no idea what the hell I'm supposed to do when I'm in a match or where I need to be going.. am I playing TDM? what the fuck do I do and where do i do it? - controls are horrible and clunky - using the zoom/sights actually makes it harder to hit your enemy
of course, it's just a beta, but still, there's so much wrong with this, it's not up to par to todays standards really..

I have a feeling that, at least with the objective thing, the problem would lie with the EVE integration and not the game itself. As I understand it you're essentially mercenaries for the MMO players so if they don't know what they want to do neither will you.

Getting nervous here, was really hoping this would be my next shooter. Hopefully the bugs get worked out.

yeah, I was hoping it was gonna be good too, but it's so broken..
earlier today, I was starting a match, and before you spawn, each time you have to like choose a loadout (i only have the standard ones) and they were all "invalid". apparently, you can only use weapons and stuff for a limited amount of time, and then you need to restock on everything you have.. if you don't do that, you get invalid loadouts, and you can't fucking spawn
and the game doesn't even tell you untill you start a match, so you're fucked if you enter without a valid loadout, cause then you're stuck on the spawn screen for the entire game, cause you can't f-ing spawn, or you have to quit the game, which adds a quit to your stats.
hence why I deleted this now. the game has so much potential, but the execution is flawed and convoluted as HELL. I might give it a try when the full game is out, since it's free to play anyways, but geez...

Yikes!!! I think I'm going to wait on this as well to make sure that gets fixed.
I did know about the weapons and what not being limited use. If I remember what I read properly you earn creadits to buy weapons and stuff in bulk. Don't quote me here but you loose that waepon when you die or something. So if you buy 10 sniper rifles and die 10 times while it was equipped you need to buy more to use it again.
I sort of like the idea to a degree, but without good instruction that can be frustrating.

well yeah, i think that is the idea behind it... and I ran out because I died too much..
but that doesn't change my point at all though.

The idea is that, if you're good enough, you won't ever need to buy sniper rifles because EVE players will do it for you.

The only reason i'm going to have a go on this is to unlock stuff for free in the full game although i'm sure that stuff would probably be low level crap anyways, but might as well give it a shot as the game will be free.
I don't understand or care for this game. I had a homing missile launcher and i had no clue how to decipher the inventory so i stopped playing.

Seems like this reeks of poor design decisions.

I tried to play but it needed an update and my PS3 said it would take an hour to download it, so I gave up.

yeah, it needs a 2Gb update...
but as previously mentioned, you're not missing out. it's full of poor design choices, and it's just a convoluted mess. the actual gameplay is horrible too.

so does anyone care for a beta code?
as irony wants it, I got 2 beta codes now with the 2 emails I signed up with once to get access to the beta..
