The first proper trailer.
Looks decent. The city is the main draw for me so far. If it's actually as populated and dense as it looks it should be very fun to play around in.

Looks nice.
Though, I'm still going to call it True Crimes: Streets of Hong Kong because Sleeping Dogs sounds like some Kane & Lynch sequel.

It looks like its trying to copy yakuza, with the living city concept, i got a feeling the actual gameplay city will not live up to these standards, or interactivity will be non existent.

According the previews the combat system is similar to the Batman games, with context sensitive kills added in.

I'd like it to be a massive hit whether it's good or not, just to show up Activision.

Well i'd rather it sell well because it was good.
We don't need more shit fads fucking up the game market and killing off the more innovative series.

I think he might like it, Square Enix worked with Eidos on one of his favorite games, this might be closely likable

He hasn't played Deus Ex if thats what you are talking about. He hates games that aren't generic or perverted.

Avalache Studios made that game.
Eidos were the publisher, hence basically did nothing and Squenix the distributor, again not really doing anything. Although i apologise for making the assumption you got him confused with simian.

I don't know why. I honestly miss this being part of the True Crime series. They were always like GTA games except you're a cop.
But I can always pretend it's a Stranglehold sequel(Yes, I liked Stranglehold).
Now that I think about it, I like any game set in the under bellies of China. With that said, I found Kane & Lynch 2 enjoyable.

I'll probably demo this on PC before I decide whether or not to buy it so I'll try to remember to post my most likely overly cynical thoughts on it for you guys.

It really doesn't make a difference, the True Crime films were always considered shit and/or glitchy. It will literally make no difference being associated with them, if anything this could be good for the series as ppl may ignore the fact it was terrible in the past adn boost sales.

Reviews have been doing the rounds, and they're all hugely positive. Looks promising.

I'll be getting it at some point. Probably after I finish Darksiders II. I've heard it's quite short for a sandbox game, but other than that the only real complaint I've heard is that it's not particularly original.
But a GTA game with a good melee system sounds great, and you can replay all the missions too, which is nice.

Also, the PS3 version is worse than the 360 version by a small degree in pretty much all areas it seems. Lower resolution, lower resolution textures, more variable framerate, more tearing, and so on.
