French Revolution would be so much better than the American War of Independence though, not to mention how easy it would be to make one of Ezio's descendants French; what on earth made them change their mind.

One thing I can see them do is move the story over to the French Revolution later in the game (it starts 12 years after the trailer video).
But even then I don't want to do that shit with a fucking indian.

Well it flat out wouldn't make sense as an Indian/American, you really need a Frenchman. It's the perfect setting for it though, the Royalists vs the Jacobins, and all the shit that went down. You've got Robespierre as a primary antagonist in the first part, Napoleon in the second.
What would be cool though, is if these two games overlap and you have letters or something from the assassin in France in this game and vice versa.

I thought most of you would be happy about killing Americans.

We're killing the wrong teabaggers in this game.

Isn't this about killing the brits? I mean Ezio junior would be on the winning side.

The character doesn't have to be a descendant of Ezio to be an ancestor of Desmond.

Well pick something that doesn't have any such implications next time.

Anyway counterpoint there's no reason he can't be Ezio's descendant either. Ezio gets around a lot. Also another counterpoint your face.
Japan would be too cliche as it would follow more of the Ninja Gaiden/Tenchu route.

This is looking pretty good, I'm more interested in it than I was in Brohood and Revelations. Also not in the video but this apparently has co-op that plays a little bit like the old multiplayer except against AI, you'll be given a mark, or marks, and have to work as a team to take them down. Is either going to be very good or boring as hell, though the idea of using one person as soldier bait while someone else performs the kill is kinda cool.

Watching the videos for this has me crazy excited. It is actually something fresh and not just another rehash. I love Ezio but I am ready for some change. The setting and how the demo I saw were navigating the trees plus how amazingly advanced the combat seems just makes me crazy excited.
And Raz, the American Revolution is the only interesting revolution.

I honestly found it to be the least interesting of the topics I've studied so far in my degree. To the point where I actually switched off and didn't take much in at all.

Apparently part of the game will be focused on Connor learning about his 'eagle' ancestors, Ezio and Altair. We'll get to unlock special abilities based on them too, I think Connor is going to be the strongest assassin yet.

It's weird for an alternate history franchise to have it's own alternate alternate history spin off.

I really thought it would've be a thing that should've happened by now, but it took a good chunk of games for them to realize the potential there.
