| Jak 2 has some awful level design. The lack of checkpoints make things tedious. I'm currently trying to break into a fortress and i have to go around a blind corner only to be faced with 10+ guards. Now if that wasn't bad enough I can get past that but I then have to go though a bottomless pit platforming section, which I did but then I just died as I have to grind across a beam without hitting lasers, and it killed me and i have to do the whole section again. | |

| I keep hearing these complaints, and maybe I need to play it again, but I don't remember it being that bad or that hard. | |

| Jak 2 is horrible. The driving controls are crap, there are too many enemies that can kill you in like 4 hits, the location is depressing compared to the vibrant and creative design of Jak 1's environment, the story sucks and the guns were a pointless addition. The game is unforgiving with the checkpoints and Dark Jak is too difficult to build up so he's nigh useless.
Thankfully Jak 3 was much better and at least the guns were creative.

I've literally seen people who played this when they were younger compaining about how much harder and annoying the game is than they remember. That said I don't think the game has changed as people used to say Jak 2 was one of the harder titles on the PS2. I will finish this though because I refuse to be beaten by whats considered a hard platformer as I consider that a genre that I can waltz through.

| I'm glad people are complaining about Jak 2 now, I never liked it as a kid and didn't understand all the praise it got. | |

Its a huge step back from one which is a shame. Interesting thing to look at is see how much the games that Naughty Dog made changed to adapt to what the fans wanted. This has seriously backfired at certain points. It also makes me wonder exactly where we would be right now in terms of Naughty Dog if they were left to there own devices and could've made the jak games to just be bigger crash games (something I probably would've loved).

| Jak 3 is pretty fun, its got more guns and the controls feel tight. Still looks nice to, not as good as R and C, but still fun. Jiust annoyed at one of these artifact finding missions as the driving controls are a bit annoying, as they tried to be more realistic so basically everything makes you skid. | |

Its digital cross buy. The vita versions run badly and i usually forgive stuff if their fun, but this is bad enogh to take away from the experience. ratchet and clank seems to run a lot better on vita.
