I'd probably suggest renting them. They're fun games but if you're more of the free-roaming guy then you're not going to enjoy them as much.

For everything else apart from the swinging, other gams do it better (although the aerial combat in WoS was fun). Spider-Man's unique method of getting around is the only reason I pay any attention to the games, because no other game has that.

At least I like being able to agree with you on this one

Someone asked Beenox CEO about combat, D. Brown responded they build it from scratch No more web hammer then, hope I like how the combat turns to be

Anyone have the first PS1 Spider-Man game? I haven't played that one in so long but I used to play it all the time when I did. I remember that game being fantastic.

I really want an expanded, more varied version WoS's combat.

I hope they don't keep the beams on the attacks as well, they don't look appealing to me, and teh zipline attack needs to stay If they make a fight in this game like the first Vulture fight in WoS but with the fight being moved all around Manhattan as I please, that will be awesome

Played Spider-Man 3 (PC) again, got a huge rush for a while, disappointed in one moment, remove it from my PC, placed it back a week later, got over the camera issue
Still my favorite

Spidey 3 was overall a mediocre, clunky game, but it's worth trying just to get a taste of another Spidey free-roam game with some neat missions that had a bit of variety. Also, the city's buildings felt grand and huge.
If it didn't have a retarded version of Spidey 2's combat and actually had a far longer development time, we could have really gotten something awesome.

This basically sums up the first Spider-Man film based game.

Combat gets kinda stiff at moments, but the ones I experienced are quite rare, I say that after finishing the game 33 times (yes I'm that crazy )

The two have several moves in common, beyond that they are notably different

I agree on it needed longer development time

That game had some neat ideas, hindered mainly by how slow Spider-Man is in that game and how thugs are faster than him, plus all those robots to fight, keeps me away from replaying it like I do the rest

What do you make of this "web rush" mechanic explanation
Quote :
We introduce an all-new gameplay mechanic called the Web Rush, which gives players real-time navigational and combat choices. Web Rush can be triggered on the fly, at any moment and immediately presents you with a variety of situational choices, letting you pull off Spidey’s signature moves like never before.
