Well there are better games then both. But we were talking at that time. I do think the best game this year will be either B:AC, U3 or Deus ex. Possibly skyrim if its not a buggy mess. - A_Nonny_Moose wrote:

Well everyone was pissed about killer croc and rightly so, the final boss was lame to, but as was the final boss in uncharted 2. There's also this weird obsession with zombie/monsters in uncharted games at the end which people thought was off. Yeah but no one complained about guns feeling off, clunky controls, comparisons to previous games controls, it not really being a platformer at all (although i've hard that said across the board about a few different games). Oh yeah and i'm not complaining about these things myself but people did moan about them.

| No one moaned about clunky controls, that's just foolish. And it's as much of a platformer as you can get these days. | |

Compared to the first i certainly have seen people complaining about that even recently on the PS3 gamefaqs board. Also you really should play forgotten sands, best platforming game i've played in absolutely ages. I would've loved it way more but its annoyingly short if you're a PoP vet. I speed ran it in like 5 hours or maybe less.

| To say the controls in 1 are better than they are in 2 is just a statement made purley to troll.
And I really want to get Forgotten Sands I've played them all in the series and actually really enjoyed PoP 2008. That and the last R&C that came out are on my list of games to get.

Forgotten sands I honestly think is a worth successor to sands of time, i was only disappointed in the combat. Platforming wise though its got some awesome bits when you see the princes new powers (i won't spoil that for you). R and C crack in time (i think thats what your talking about) is a bit hit and miss. It was the firswt one i played this gen and personally i preferred the last gen games. Thats said there are some awesome puzzles in the Clank bit which i loved. I actually think the main problem might have been the game is getting a bit too easy these days after having played the others. I also missed some of the awesome weapons from 3 IIRC, can't remember which ones were gone. But both are defintiely games you should play if you like both those series. In terms of controls of U1, some people genuinely thought they handled better. I dunno I thought the guns had different performances, the pistol being a gun you can easily snipe with in the first game, controls wise i really didn't notice a difference.

| Yea I played the first R&C game out for the PS3 and it definately was a good game but was nothing compared to the PS2 ones. I heard A Crack in Time was supposed to be like Up your Arsenal so that's mainly why I want to play it. | |

Its not that much like 3, i thought it played differently to the other R and Cs, but the fact playing as clank is fun now is a huge improvement.

| I was never a huge platforming fan until the more recent years when we got some great platformers out like the Assassin's Creeds, Uncharted, etc. But then again the Sly's had a lot of platforming action to it which are probably my favorites in terms of platforming unless you count Sonic Adventure 2 as one. | |

| Platforming games is actually tied for my favorite genre. Run around, jumping off cliffs, finding secret locations for extra stuff, and pulling all sorts of awesome jumps and stunts. I still havent complete a Assassin's creed game because I like running around pickpocketing, and kiling guards. And when it comes to Mario games Tobi and Myownninja say its like watching a movie when they watch me play. | |

| Aside from PSN type games it's the new style of platformer. Platforming has evolved with games like Assassin's Creed, Infamous, Uncharted, Mirror's Edge, etc. It started in the PS2 days with games like Prince of Persia and it's were it is today. The platformers of old are all but phased out, save for the 10 buck PSN titles (not that it makes them bad by any means). | |

| I just ordered Assassin's Creed II. Will probably come in the mail around Thursday If I had to guess. I'm doing another run through Assassin's Creed and I'll finish it as soon as AC2 comes in so that I can play them right in succession. | |
