I think I just bricked my PS2.

Trying to get something to work on it. Note to everyone: If you see a too-good-to-be-true game that's been used for over 10 years on sale... don't buy it. I picked up MVC2 today because I just felt like paying 40 dollars for non-HD and it crapped out on me. Or my PS2 crapped out on me. One or the other. Anyway, while trying to clean the lens and all (which I've done a hundred times now without running into trouble), a bracket or something snapped off. Now nothing will read, or even try to. I think now I'm selling every bit of gaming paraphernalia I have to scrape up enough lousy trade-in value for one of those cheap 360s. Why do PS3s cost like 2-3x more than those again? Are they 2-3x better?

Gamestop has the lowest of the low 360s on sale for $100, it seems. And there are some active trade-in deals that give me a nearly benign bonus for trading in multiple games all at once! Of course I won't have any money to buy a GAME to go along with it for a while. I've worked with a fat PS2 and Gamecubes for nearly a decade now, so I think I can manage without a slim console for the time being.

I am currently trying to hack my Fat PS2 for free games. Have to wait for my action replay in the mail and sorry Savage, that sucks man.

Although PS3 are the Tea Drinking Gentleman of current consoles, so maybe you should buy one.

I was just doing some hack research this morning. It all involved Swap Magic or an external hard drive or doing stupid shit like ripping your disc out as it spun or something.

It's times like this when I wish I stuck that $39.99 under my bed instead of buying Clash of Ninja 1. I bought so many overpriced shit games that had zero impact on my life. you could of bought a lens brush cleaner its easier and safer

Well there's duct tape keeping the thing structured because I lost track of the bottom screws over time.

Don't get a 360, upgrade your PC and emulate any PS2 game you want (except for MGS3 and Persona unless you buy an absolute beast of a machine).
