LP- Final Fanatasy Mystic Quest

Just downloaded a SNES emulator with 763 roms. One of them being the first Final fantasy game I ever played, Mystic Quest. Then skipped all them to 7 because I didnt know there was a series of them when I was little.

Star out on a random mountain top and have no idea how your village got destroyed... One hell of a party he must of had.

After talking to the old man he asks you to follow him. On the way the mountain quakes and collaspes. This is the First final fantasy game with a jump action.

After catching up to the old man he tell me about the "Focus Tower", being my destiny to save the world, etc etc save the world, chosen one speech.

Then out of nowhere your first boss appears as your first battle. The only thing you can do to win this is attack him over and over and hope you dont miss.

In this game, one way to tell that the boss is getting low is that you start to see damage on the body. So far I've missed once... ny first attack.

Hmmm, I think it would take 3 misses to kill you. He deals 6 damage a hit. Also no level up....

Old man: I would go with you, but this letter from my daddy says, I dont got to go! ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!!!

This game is a tragic stain on the amazing legacy that is Final Fantasy. Seeing it makes me sad

Ok, I had some save issues so I had to start over.... turns out the first boss can crit for half you hp. I died once against him then killed him on the next try.

After that conversation with the old man the mountain quakes and takes you to a cutscene on the world map where the mountain collaspes.

Tree are blocking the path so you have to exit out to the right from where the old man is, unlocking the first town.

Jump across the stumps into the back of a treehouse to find a chest.

By God, I actually remember playing this game! I forgot the name though.

After getting Kaeli to join my team. I go and farm up some potions.

When we enter the forest she runs ahead to a tree.

After farming potions I start training. For some unknown reason Kaeli doesnt level up...

Like the first boss, you just attack until you get a black magic in the future.

Before she leaves she gives me her axe! Now to eliminate this forest! BWAHAHAHAHA

After Kaeli leaves my party I head north to the Sand Temple.

From what I remember these places are useful for training and getting good equipment.

These are the only enemies in this battlefield. Early game the frogs are annoying because of poison and no shops for a while.

After completing that area I reach the Sand Temple.

Out of nowhere! A Ninja!

He says he has a elixir but he'll only sell it for 50,000...

After some agreement to help me get one, he joins my party.

To train up for the next dungeon I did another battlefield.

Crystal Dungeon number 1!

Along the way in here, Trist sells me bombs for 30gp. My first AOE attack.

I still dont know what these are for...

On the other side of the room where i got the seeds, I get my first black magic!

I hate this boss.... so much...

And thats why. I always forget his weakness which is quake. Also he used his strongest attack multiple times killing Trist very quickly.

And after figuring that out it was a cake walk.

This guys loves treasure cause without hesitating he runs to a chest. Then this appears maybe he'll come back.

Me: Looks the crystal!
Trist: Dude ignore the legendary crystals that we need to save the world and look what I found!

He decides to give me the elixir and take the hook shot that he found and runs off. FOREVER ALONE!
