David Hayter and Zak Penn wrote separate scripts, combining what they felt to be the best elements of both scripts into one screenplay. Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris were eventually hired for rewrite work, changing characterizations of Beast, Angel and Lady Deathstrike.

Watching the extras of X3 and it turns out Ellen Page is a big fan of Kitty. That makes me so happy.

Only thing Rattner did right. Convince Ellen Page to be in an X-Men movie.

I like what they did to Rogue, she does have a point in not wanting her powers

After reading The Draco, now seems like the perfect time to watch a bad movie. So tonight I'm going to watch and bitch about X3!

UGH.

And tomorrow I'm going to see First Class to wash all of the awful away.

The first movie started in Auschwitz.

The second movie started with Nightcrawler kicking ass.

The third movie started with Jean's recruitment.

One of these does not belong (hint: it's the one that's BORING AS FUCK. Also retconned out of existence).

We also get our first Angel scene, the most pointless character in the movie (and that's saying a lot!), yet the entire advertising campaign was focused on him.

We enter the movie proper in a danger room sequence and already we find some glaring problems that will show up again throughout the movie.

- ACTION AND EXPLOSIONS (though this one was probably the best action sequence in the film)
- Endless amount of nods to the comics. Don't do that. Comic nerds hate these adaptions anyway.
- Rogue/Kitty/Iceman love triangle
- Cyclops isn't leading the fucking team

But at least Storm finally starts resembling her comic book counterpart.

Xavier gives up on Cyclops days after he lost Jean. You're a goddamn telepath but you don't get that people GRIEVE?

This script is horseshit.

Thank god for Kelsey Grammer and Ellen Page.

And so Scott Sumers dies off-screen in a story that's supposed to be based all around him.

He'll probably still be alive in X4 though.

Mystique is the second character who is needlessly thrown away.

In favour of Vinnie Jones, of all people.

oh noes Jean's schizophrenia causes her evil alter ego to show up!

But that doesn't explain how she came back from the fucking dead.

Charles dies or something which is dumb, but okay.

I feel like I'm repeating myself here.

God, this fucking love triangle. Not even Ellen Page is awesome enough to save this.

Just use Colossus, he's in the damn movie.

Two movies full of rivalry finally comes together in a fantastic display of bad fire/water cgi.

magneto is beaten jean dies bla bla

Twist ending where Magneto regains his magnetic powers. Double twist ending when Xavier turns up alive. Triple twist ending after Fox decided to only make prequels from her on out.

When/how did it allude to the prof being alive? I haven't seen that movie since the first time I watched it so I'm a bit fuzzy on that.

Post-credits scene is about him lying in a hospital and Moira showing up to see him.
