Yea I don't think I could sit dowsn and play one for any extended period of time. I played one at Gstop and my eyes hurt after 10minutes of it.

The main issue is that it doesn't have any games worth playing yet. It's just like the PS3 at launch.

You forget FoM was available at launch. That game was one of the best launch titles i've played for any system.

That can play both DS and 3DS games. If you've already paid for it you might as well keep it.

I agree with psycho , the only reason people bought this was for 3D, its like buying all the latest games on PC and only ever running them on the lowest settings when you got a high spec PC. A complete waste of money and stupid.

How does the 3DS even work? I've never seen one IRL.. but wouldn't having 3D without glasses pretty much be a hologram? Or is it not true 3D?

I breifly tried one and the 3d effect is undoubtedly amazing. I have no idea how exactly it does it, but it's a real 'wow' gimmick. The only killer for me at the moment is the lack of "must-have" games. OoT doesn't count either, because I've still got my N64 copy if I fancy a go on that.

That and the fact that I'm not really one for handhelds (I barely use my PSP) kinda rules it out.

Which is why you might not buy one in the first place. But if you do buy you might as well keep it for the extra games.

Inevitably the crippling headaches will turn out to be a ploy by Nintendo to not program a "hard" difficulty for the kiddies and grannies who don't have the skillz for that shit anyway, while the elite among gamers can play the same game, except with a severe handicap (brain tumor).

It all makes sense.

I folded and bought one.

I've never owned a DS before so there's a huge back catalogue tempting me, even if the current 3DS line up is thin.

I'm waiting for the PSP2. I'll need to actually see one and hold it before buying though, because it looks a bit bulky. And those analog sticks, while far better for playing games than little nub thing, don't look particulary portable-friendly. Unless they pop in to the casing or something, getting the thing in and out of a pocket will be annoying.
