I hate spending time waiting for shit to download or looking for dubbed anime so I am using Netflix for it, so let's watch Anime on Netflix.

Okay, so did you just come in here to get pissy at my opinions while not actually offering any real good feedback? That seems kinda like what happened and I don't even know what in the hell your first post is talking about because you didn't reference anything in it, you literally you just posted expecting me to remember something I posted from a year ago, dude. If you're gonna come in here and shit on my posts, fine, but at least offer real feedback beyond annoyance otherwise you're just being dumb. Oh and please actually read the whole thread, I did actually watch pretty much every anime I saw on Netflix, even Hetalia's second season and all of Sekirei, which was awful.

You are right sorry. I just have a bad habit of speaking my mind before thinking. got that way from all my years being a DoTa snob (And trust me, it is harder to unlearn this then it was to learn it, and regreat it when it happens. -_-). Forgive me on that part dude.

I dont exactly know how to put this in words to well. but a reviewer once told me. You got to review things people either do not want to hear a review about. Or something so popular it needs to be shown the truth about.

Like... Make the person reading feel how you felt. If the movie is shit. "Like something like Battle vixens. Sorry my opinion." Then explain like when in the story line it becomes worthless. and now thinking back. Sekirei was a P.O.S. I think I only watched it for the boobs. Sorry off the point. Any who.

I guess the simple way to put it. Is explain why it would be crap. And if it is all the same I will just delete that crap posts I did. they are just derp.

I can understand that, but beyond the problem that's not really reviewing, that's more like general journalism and really, I'm not reviewing these, I'm just posting a general opinion as I watch through random anime on Netflix. If I wanted to post a review then I'd just have made a reviews thread and not a watchthrough thread.

I feel like I did explain why I hated Sekirei and Hetalia. I do remember bring up how Sekirei was just terrible anime porn without any actual sex, pretty much all of the characters were flat and it falls into every single bad trope in anime while asking me to care about it, which is something I just will not do with this series. Hetalia I explained as just being generally annoying, beyond the characters all being kind of bad pastiches of their respective countries, they sort of just end up being like Sekirei's, really flat and do nothing except try and get a chuckle out of me... I mean, I got a few chuckles but that was mainly because of Funimations masterful voice acting and that the Bloopers of Hetalia are quite hilarious.

I think I praised every other anime I watched since I don't remember being annoyed by anything else.

Just finished Puella Magi Madoka Magica and that was an interesting, but not really gripping series to me. It was an okay series that was a deconstruction of magical girl series and then reconstructs it all in the last episode. The first few episodes are nothing special, because nothing that you can't entirely predict happens, but then they start upping the ante a bit and things get more serious. I also really like how they designed Labyrinth's and Witches, because the designs are very much like taking real life pictures and combining them into some sort of creature and it's all really very eye-popping.

I think the thing that puts me off the most from liking it a lot is the dumb "Every prominent female figure in history was a magical girl" that they showed off in the end with Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and ANNE FUCKING FRANK, that's just the kind of stuff you have to be Japanese to think up because any other culture would think that's a bit fucking much.

Labyrinths, Witches and Homura were the best things, apart from the music. If only Madoka had been half as long (Urobuchi has no idea how to write for TV) it would have been amazing. That's why I'm looking forward to the two recap movies (premiere tickets, woohoo), because they'll remove something like an hour or two, and hopefully have better production values. No more meguca. I do love the designs, though. Every time I see something related to or parodying Madoka, I think "wow, Madoka is so cool, why don't I like it more?"

There are however some problems that even shorter time won't fix.
Homura is the best character, and she should have been the main character from episode 1. None of the other characters have any development or realism. I couldn't care about any of them. Sayaka is horrible. Madoka is useless, which is no wonder, considering it's made clear in episode one that her mother is an alcoholic

and that her father is a pussy. None of them are good role models. Her little brother is a more interesting character than she is, and he's 2 years old. With such great music, practically the only song they play is "Sis puella magica". Everytime someone says "Mahou shoujo" or Kyuubey appears. Which is every three minutes.

Still, there were some really cool things, and Urobuchi is inexperienced, so I won't hate it too much.
