Minecraft

I played it today and I see why it's so big on 4chan.
You can build anything you want if you work hard enough and have lots of time. So much material you can use and many items you can make.

When you start off, the best thing to do is gather wood and make a workbench so you can craft bigger stuff. After that gather more wood for picaxes and torches. Then dig out a shelter to hide in at night (you want to do this until you made good equipment which will take a few days gametimes).
During the night dig down as much as you can (note make sure there is no darkness in your cave, even if you close it to keep out zombies they will spawn in the dark inside your cave or caves).

I'm currently collecting enough dirt to make a island in the sky (it's 10x10 right now.)
And there is a limit to how high you can go. Murloc tried going up in space but you go a little pas the clouds.
There is also a limit to how deep you can go. Go deep enough and you reach magma which water will turn it to stone.
From what Murloc told me the game is the size of the Earth but Flat not sphere.

And thats all i know right now

A bit of both.
It's a MMO but you can play offline by yourself.

What you do is gather materials by mining, chopping down trees, etc. From there your build a shelter from the monsters (if your difficulty is not on peaceful.)

Online you have to find a server on the minecraft forums.

But the basic idea is to build whatever you want. I'm currently building Clocktown form Zelda Majoras mask.

Also someone made the entire "Link to the Past" world.

Also when you create a file on your computer. The size of that world is 7 times that as Earth if it were layed flat.

I'd never play this, as those graphics are dated to the point of looking terrible.

Sounds intersting, but I'm sure its just another grindfest.

From what I understand the game just gives you a world and a set of basic tools and then the rest is up to you. There's no quest or objective or anything.

No leveling, just survive and build. You have max health at the start.

Some guy made a scale model of the Star Trek Enterprise.

And online there are players who will want to destroy what you want to build and burn all the trees. Some even have PvP.

I was bored so i watched star trek generations when it was on TV it had Prof X in it was alright.

Also This guy is the most annoying enemy in the entire game.


It's called a Creeper. If it gets close to a player it will explode.


And another tip, enemies spawn at night but Creepers and Spiders dont burn in the sunlight.

The whole game looks that way. Almost as if it were made for the NES.

Is it freeware because i guess that makes more sense if it is. Although that said PS3 has spoiled me and i can't play stuff like that. Even Aoe1 looks better then that.

I would assume the graphics are to keep it running smoothly and because it's just one guy making the whole game.

Ok.... for the second time now, Clock town has been deleted. But I started building other stuff since that happened. I'll post pics later.

Ok when they say you can build anything, you can build anything.
Someone made a working computer, calculator, and a piano. It requires a lot of bricks and time to make and the computer isnt good. It's 16bit old day type computer.

It's similar in a way, though different. Minecraft is basically digital Lego wheres LBP is more streamlined/simplified/etc. Personally I don't like it at all but I'm amazed at some of the things I've seen built.
