Trying to get achievements. I've been playing the PC version since release. Theres a place in town here where you can go to and they have a bunch of computers with all the latest games and you pay $3 an hour to play them. And I got sick of doing that so I asked for it for christmas. I'm going to get the DLC for it once I go over to my cousins and use his live. Sucks right now since I really miss The Passing and The Sacrifice :/
Anyhoo I got most of the achievements today. Including that gnome one where you have to carry the gnome all the way through Dark carnival.
Funny thing was I did it alone. And it was pretty easy. The only time I was biting my nails was when the helicopter came and I left it infront of the stage. I stuck myself and with adrenaline and made it to the chopper with a tank right on my ass. Pretty close call but this video made it sound harder than actually it was.
I'm having trouble getting the one where you have to make it across the bridge in 3 minutes. Because the CPU's eat up my time. I need them to have my back up until I get past the tank. I tried killing them myself then I got hung up at the end. I'll keep trying though. I think I finally mastered the 360 controls. Still miss my mouse and keyboard though. But trying to get these achievements sure is giving me some nice replay value.
Anyway that's what I've been up to today along with watching my daughter. She has fun playing with her toys while I'm playing.

Before I went to bed last night I got it. This achievement.
And I did it alone again on normal difficulty. I realised on easy I couldn't kill my teamates. So once I switched to normal I chose Nick and killed coach and rochelle and kept Ellis alive to back me up. I stayed left the whole way. And Ellis did his job. Got to the tank, it was sitting around the semi's with the latter. He threw a rock at me but hit Ellis incapping him and I pumped my adreniline and ran past him. Got to the end of the bridge, threw a pipebomb then picked up another pipe bomb at the end.
By this time the tank had killed ellis and I was the alone. I threw my last pipe when I got to the the helicopter, jumped in. The bridge blew up and I got the achievement. I did all of this in 4 minutes. The the achievement says it must be 3 minutes. I'm assuming it doesn't clock down until I signal the radio.
I'm pretty proud.

Finally got all the offline achievements possible. Aside from 2-3 like defibulating 10 survivers and reviving 10 survivers while on adreneline. Those will be unlocked over time though. I hade a really fucking shit ass bitch of a time with this achievement.
Sob Story
The Cpu's kept fucking it up. I have to go through the round without alerting any witches and on normal difficulty theres about 10 of them each time I tried. Half of them are right in my walking path and are unavoidable. It took me ten tries atleast.
You ever play a game and try do something over and over and say out load "Ok if I don't do it this time I give up"? Yeah that's what happened. My final attempt I pulled it off. BARELY
At first I took the videos advice and grabbed a melee weapon and ran through them without stopping for anything. But 50% of the time my survivers would touch her. I decided like the achievement earlier just to kill them. Because of the horde constantly on my ass I only managed to kill one of them at a time, leaving the other 2 alive. But it still made it easier. I built up a routine and made it up to the elevator area easily after awhile. Then what started fucking me up was the tall grass. Which was like Jurassic Park 2 but with witches.
I'd pop adreniline and run through it sometimes running right infront of a witches face. I'd throw a bile bomb so the infected wouldn't slow me down. Then wouldn't you know it the CPU's would set off the witch I just ran by. One time there was even a Tank and 2 witches waiting for me at the gas station. So I finally pulled it off barely making it out of the tall grass running all the way around the witch in the gas station and smashing the back window and running into the safe room.
Right after I get in there and the achievement blinks complete, I read "Coach has startled the witch".
