I enjoyed both.
Particularly the statements they make about the U.S.A. and such.

Escape from LA is one of the worst sequels ever.
Escape from new york is an amazing film.

Worst sequel ever? I don't think it falls into that category at all.
Unless you want to toss it into a few generalized category....

It had a higher height to drop from then other bad sequels. Films rarely go from great to awful, Godfather is the only one i can think of at the moment.
