Dragonball Z Original VS English Dub ( Weird Dubbing)

Those were some interesting comparisions between the English and Japanese dialog of Dragonball Z. In further understanding English dubs overtime, I found a video that briefly shows all the differences between each time the "Over 9000" scene was dubbed in English. Unfortunately, I can't embed it because SSJGozar, the video's creator, disabled it.

Are you talking about the Vegeta dubs Brian Drummond did or Chris Sabat did?

I see. I don't mind who does the job, really, just as long as it's not the guy who did Vegeta's voice in Dragonball GT: Final Bout (PSX). I'd prefer Sabat's take than thet one guy's anyday.

It's not only the voices that make the English dub shit, it's also the fact that the horrible music NEVER stops, characters NEVER stop talking, lame corny jokes and a horrible script overall.

I checked DevilKingBaal's video, and in a lot of cases, I'd say you're right, Kaio. The whole "Hammertime" scene was probably the worst of it for me. Silly Sean Schemmel for saying that, I guess.

That's not even the worst. They made Freeza, who is a terrifiying creature in the Japanese version, a sissy bitch who flurts with Goku. ("Okay big guy! Whatever turns you on...")

I'd say they were thinking, "Oh yeah, Frieza was menacing back in Japan. To make him look like a total moron, let's give him a girly voice and say the gayest innuendos that's even appropriate for a Y-7 TV rating... except for when we do the uncut DVD's, and then that's a whole different story. Heh heh heh... ha ha ha.... HAAAAAHA HA HA HA!"

That might make 4-Kids sound a little less sinister if they got their hands on DBZ, which'd be impossible. One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! was pushing it then.

Well at least 4Kids had the main characters keep their last name (Monkey D. Luffy), while Funi just removed Goku's surname from existence, even now. There's a lot of fans out there who still don't know Goku's family has a surname.

You mean "Son", right? I would say that is a bit of a shame there, which it is.

That's true, but you are publicly known to hate him the most.

Would that explain why some of my posts in other places are getting deleted? I figured that's why, though, so I played it safe by getting rid of the link.

Your posts most likely lessened because Vergil was deleting useless topics.
