| Just finished the show. The quick cancellation, but still far enough in advance for Whedon to make up an ending, caused one of the most tightly written plots I've ever seen on TV and the shortness of the series really adds to its overall quality. Definitely a must see.
It's also much better than FireFly. I don't understand why so many people love that series.

| Yeah, we get it. You only enjoy cable TV. | |

| No, I just care about cable TV more. Since they generally have a much higher range of acting than in broadcast. | |

| Michael C. Hall, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are the only ones who are particularly amazing. The rest is all comparable to broadcast TV. | |

| Because three actors are better than the rest?
I don't think so.
Also, just because a show has a great lead it doesn't make it better than the rest. Hugh Laurie is one of the best actors on television, but his show is repetitive and, at times, utter shit.
Dexter is full of boring subplots, which brings down the overall quality of the show.
Shows like 24, Lost, Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, Fringe and Supernatural all have moments where not only the acting, but also the writing and directing is on par with cable television.
Also, cable comedy sucks.

| It's about assassins who have their minds wiped after every kill by their employer. At least that's the basic premise iirc.
A guy at my work just ordered the complete box set (I don't know how big it actually is) from America so I'll see if I can borrow it from him at some point.

| So two years on I actually started watching this, I'm almost finished with season 1 and I definitely like it more than Firefly. It's pretty much Alias 2.0: Whedon Edition, just much better. | |

| The possibility of living forever through dolls was just mentioned in the episode with the old womans estate, what's the bet it turns out whoever is pulling all the strings has been doing it? | |

| Eww, Felicia Day. I hope she doesn't become a major character.
Nevermind. I still don't like her but that episode was really fucking good.

| Just finished, really happy that I decided to watch it despite being told it was shitty.
If I had to rank Whedons TV series at this point it'd probably be something like Angel > Buffy = Dollhouse > Firefly. Though Buffy had higher highs (also lower lows) than Angel on an individual episode basis I feel like Angel is, on the whole, the superior show. I also think Firefly could have been much better than it was, had it been given the chance. Serenity did a good job of tying up a lot of the loose ends from the series but there was still a lot of unrealised potential in my mind.

| That's how I'd rank it too, but probably put Buffy above Dollhouse. Even with its low lows, it was still very ambitious and the character of Buffy Summers was hugely influential on fictional female characters moving on.
Next up Vampire Diaries?

| Both are on my list, the order I watch them in will pretty much depend on what's available at work at the time. | |

| Dollhouse is actually amazing. I started watching it ages ago but was turned off by the first few episodes. I've now finished the first season and am happy I was conned into trying it again. | |
