Nope, no way to get around it unless you're buying a second PS3. If that's the case you can use the 'System Transfer' utility to copy everything directly across including copy protected saves, installed games and DLC.

is that on the system? i'm transferring saves from my friends ps3. i don't need a cable or sumthin do i?

I think you need an ethernet cable. Oh and yeah, it's somewhere in the System column on the xmb.

doesn't it delete the data on the original system after you transfer it?
