| Yeah, the game has an online feature. It's not something to go crazy about, bit it's not bad either. The game's story is what makes it shine.
The special edition comes with Dead Space: Extraction. So all and all its a good deal.
Where I am, the local Gamestops are still selling the standard edition of Dead Space 2 for $60.00. It's one of the year's very first AAA games. So if you're into the horror genre, you'll dig it.
Truth be told though, it's not as scary as the first game, but that's still saying something.

| It's mostly about the atmosphere. There's some occasional jump scares and shock moments. Try out the demo on PSN(If it's still available). | |

But to be honest i couldn't get into it as i was just in the middle of a ship shooting stuff. Without cutscenes and story i don't really care if the guy on screen dies.

| You'll probably get a different feel on the game/character if you played the game from the beginning and watch how the story play out.
Isaac actually becomes a pretty relatable character compared to his DS1 self(Generic silent space marine in a suit of armor).

| I wouldn't know. I don't order stuff from the Internet.
I shop at the good will or "thrift" stores as they call it sometimes.

| Pretty much. You'll be surprised by what you find there and the really cheap price it holds.
There was a $900 wedding dress for sale for just $300.
When you're first starting off, I recommend going there.

When you're first starting off, I recommend going there. Because every bride wants a used wedding dress. I'd probably end up being divorced a week later,

When I asked the shopkeep about it; she was saying something about this girl who was about to get married. The couple broke it off before the wedding day. She was about to get married again, but she didn't want to wear the same dress the last guy brought her, so she gave it away.

| Finished extraction, just going back through on impossible and collecting all items i missed.
Its way more fun on a second playthrough as you get to use your powered up guns in a new game+ thing.
I'll move on to dead space 2 after i finish this, i've read up on the series and read the comics to get immersed in the universe. The story in this game seems interesting i just hope the game lives up to that.

| I made the same mistake on the first Dead Space. Put it on hard, then struggled my way through to around chapter 9, I think. Only rented it, so had to hand it back before I finished it as well. | |

| Well i got past the first boss, i'm starting to actually believe all those people who said this game was hard. When i thought they just weren't old school enough . It is a very nice looking game though well outside the hilarious amounts of blood. Although if the copious amounts of blood weren't present to this ridiculous degree i might actually find the game kinda creepy. | |

| Yeah the game can get pretty difficult. Besides the upgrades and what-not, my key weapon is Stasis. Save up on that on you'll be fine.
DS is one of those games where you gotta run in there and just kill everything then move to the area and repeat. . You have to think about how to kill these guys taking as little damage and getting yourself prepared for the next area.
Like what I say: It's better to play smart then to play hard. In DS2's case, that's mandatory.

| BTW: If the game is hard for you now, the last two chapters are gonna give you hell. | |

| Oh no its not hard its just i rarely die in the first chapter of a game. Aftr i realised i should stasis the boss run a lap and recharge, i whoopped him.
I think i'm just getting soft after playing easy games.
By the way if i upgrade my rig will it carry over to the next suit?

I know, right. He's even my all time favorite videogame nerd. Gordan Freeman got bumped down to second.
