| I was a fan of wrestling games mainly on the PS1 I played a couple on the PS2, but i've always found some gameplay faults due to season mode but... suddenly this has jumped up to a must buy depending on if this mode actually works: - Quote :
- Universe mode is going to take rivalries, teams, titles and everything else in the WWE and have them happen in what used to be the exhibition space. You and a friend can jump in for a match, and the game will give you a full card for that show that reflects what's been happening on your system – what's happening with the Superstars and storylines the game is generating. Of course, you can change matches and champions on the fly, so this is really your chance to be the Vince McMahon of your living room and manage the federation as you see fit.
The matches and feuds you're setting up get presented like the Raw and SmackDown episodes you know so well. There will be run-ins, sneak attacks, and more than 100 cutscenes to push your storylines forward to make WWE Universe way more engaging than the exhibition we've seen in the past. The game reacts to what you're doing, and you need to get the Superstars you want to succeed on the Top 10 contender lists.

| I bought all the Smackdown games religiously until Vs Raw 2007. That was pants. After that, I kinda lost interest in wrestling, so the appeal of using 'my favourite superstars' is lessened because I don't know who 80% of the cast are. Still, the best thing was always the CaW mode. i must've spent hundreds of hours over the years tweaking my own wrestlers. | |

I'm in exactly the same position. The roster in this is huge though so the options for a CAW is huge.

| 2010 was fun with its story creation mode that universe mode sounds like a huge upgrade to story creation | |

| Only one I ever had was Just Bring It on the PS2. I did play it an awful lot though. | |

| since the series became SvR its been taking step forwards and back at the same time.
2010 was a huge improvement from what i've heard and 2011 looks way better boasting a physics engine and this interaction even in standard exhibition matches. If you're even vaguely interested now is probably a good time to get back into it.

| the exhibition just sounds like an automatic friend/rival meter that could be adjusted in 2010 | |
