'Kay, back to playing finished up Disney Town quickly, doing the Olympus Coliseum now. God, I hope there isn't another crazy Zack fight like in Terra's story.

Well, Vanitas was easy-ish, but now I gotta fight him again because I didn't do that spinning thing at the end. Fuck SE, seriously. Whoever thought of putting that in at the last moment for the fight needs to be fired, fast.

MY FUCKING GOD. WHO THOUGHT UP THIS FUCKING STUPID GIMMICK!? FUCKING CHRIST.

It's like this is the ultimate troll boss fight, everything's easy, then you go into that final clash shit and it's god damn fucked up, then you have to do the whole fight again if you fail. GOD!

You can just retry and it'll restart you from the fight you died at.

It helped me deal with Zack, Eraqus and Terranort.

No, I know that. I always choose retry. >_> I don't even think I've ever used continue instead of the former, save for one time when I wanted to exit and change my command setup for some other fight.

What I'm referring to is that when you do the last Vanitas fight where he uses the X-Blade, it's a pretty easy battle, but then you have to do some final clash at the end. It's a really dumb sort of mini-game battle thing. If you lose and retry, you will obviously have to do that whole fight again(you won't do the one before that though so don't worry). You'll see what I mean. Just take it slow though, and use your shotlock for it.

Anyway, I beat it and now I'm doing Aqua's story.

And while we're on the discussion of the Continue and Retry features, here's something I keep forgetting to bring up. Doesn't anyone else find it annoying how Retry is only used for boss fights or some other important kind of battle?

It's annoying when you're blasting through an area, get unlucky and die after working your ass off on a few enemies, and then being forced to choose continue and lose the exp you could've at least gain from that useless work you just went through. It's a minor problem most of the time but still, it's just stupid how they didn't bother just making Retry "Continue" for everything. Glad it was at least in those tornado battles and such though.

'Kay, up to Radiant Garden. Damn, Aqua's seems quicker than usual. Maybe because she kicks ass I guess.

Opposite situation for me. I go in at Lv. 27, Vanitas kicks my ass tons of times, then I beat the final clash on my first try. I will NOT repeat this underleveled situation with Aqua now.

I'm playing on standard mode, but the Command Board is really lame, so I wonder if I'll get in trouble later on for not bothering to get or level new techniques...

I doubt it. I haven't been playing that and I'm almost done with Aqua's story, and I'm on Critical. Grinding's probably only gonna be necessary for the two secret bosses. Anyway, you should've picked at least Proud Mode, on Standard, you have to finish the journal 100% for Terra, Ven and Aqua to get the secret ending n' shit after the last episode.

It was the attack where Vanitas dived into the ground that gave me trouble. My fault for being an idiot and attacking him right after he emerged.

Almost done Aqua's story, after that's done, I'm off to get that last report I missed in the Mirage Arena as Terra, and then to the Final Episode!

How do I beat Eraques? I assumed I was at a high enough level (26) but he destroys me in seconds with his hax attacks.

Bob and weave, it's not that hard but one wrong move will fuck you.

I've been trying to beat Vanitas, god knows how many times and the fucker keeps getting me because the camera shifts at random times and I end up running into one of his attacks.

Leveled up to 31, go stomped the first time, but then I started mashing him on the second try and he didn't start fighting back until I was at his final bar.

I am so fucking sick of fighting Vanitas, I finally got to the last fucking part and then it pulls the god damned gimmick on me.

I told ya it's stupid! Well, it's not that bad. When I took it slowly, it was easy. And at least that fight is easy as shit so if one were to fuck it up, it would only take a minute or two to get back to that last moment again.

Oh, yeah. Anyway, went to fetch the 5th Report and then I'll go back to finishing Aqua's story later.

'Kay, finished! Now to watch the secret ending and then go for VS and then MF.

Off to the first secret boss to get my ass handed to me!
