And it hit me that in every family sitcom like this one. All the woman have a snappy comeback at the ready everytime the men say or do something stupid.

They deserve the comebacks, because sitcom wives are always inexplicably paired up with a fat, moronic slob of a husband.

Except in the King of the Hill where the roles are reversed and Peggy is the spouse that always need to learn a lesson.
