I told myself I'd do 20 pull-ups in one set.

I failed. But at least I got in 16 Very Happy I'm proud of my measly strength.

Just keep at it. Chin ups are one of the best ways to improve overall strength.

Also being able to do over 10 is generally a positive in terms of strength to weight. You'll be doing loads more in no time.

Seems like it would mess up the door though.

And yeah, I still remember doing only three and thinking it was difficult; no extra sets either. The progression I've made this year alone is a self-esteem booster, due to the noticeable(and has been noticed) increase in mass.

If there's a target, it's merely to improve on my raw strength while improving my image...

Well personally i found swimming to be a great thing to do in parallel with training as it helps you improve your endurance. Rowing machine is great to.

You planning on doing weights to?

Not unless I subscribe to my gym again. I use to go there all the time when I was younger but now I just do light exercise every morning. It"s become a way of life rather than a training regime for me; it's nice to be fit and healthy xD

I hear that. I personally find it hard to exercise unless i get a decent routine going. Once i'm in the zone i train really hard and love it.

Honestly i can actually say i feel best when i'm in shape and training hard, i'm trying to get back into hardcore training i keep doing brief stints but going regularly is so much better.

When I train hardcore, I literally kill myself, but I feel insane a couple weeks after.

I actually find pull-ups fun. Mostly watching others try, though.

-_- I don't even think I can do 'one' proper pull up. Hopefully after all the training by the next month, I can. D:

If you struggle to do stuff like pull ups, i personally found that swimming helps as it seems to strengthen all those little muscles.

I'll assume that means you swim regularly. Rowing machine helped with that to.

Although i'm not sure if that'll give you scary broad shoulders if you do it too much lol.

._. Well I used to. Its been a while. /Sigh.
I should get back in shape with the aqua aerobics. LOL!! Hey!! You're right though, my shoulders are a little broad from the swimming I used to do. It isn't noticeable but I am certain had I not swim, it wouldn't be as broad.

Having a decent sized frame is good as long as you don't have hulk shoulders.
