Still can't figure out if I want PS+

The thing is, the amount of money I would spend on PSN stuff over a year is probably around the same price as a subscription to PS+, but it would only be stuff I really wanted, and there's no guarantee that PS+ would save me money on any particular item. So I'd save £40 or so by not subscribing.

But if I did subscribe, then I would end up trying all the free stuff that I would never buy without PS+, since it would be a waste of money not to really. The cost of a subscription would be a lot less than all of those games, so it would kind of save me some money that way.

It's basically like the bargain bin in a game store, except you buy the whole bin without looking what's in it. The stuff in the bin that you might actually want may cost less individually, but you might find some gems among the stuff you usually wouldn't look twice at. And even if you don't, you still get a ton of games to try out. Although you have to give it all back after a year or buy another one. Which isn't the kind of thing I would normally do.

I think what will swing it for me is if/when they add some decent features to it.

The fact that you lose all the content if you opt out later on is keeping my money in my pocket.

I believe it's only the free content that you lose. Discounted stuff that you still pay for is yours forever.

*nods* Yeah. Just the Free stuff is lost since you never had to pay for it.

My brother got the PS + program and we already got the $50 worth within the first two weeks. We DL'd Wipeout HD for free and got this month's edition of Qore for free. Each episode is like $2, but we're going to be watching every episode of Qore under the PS + program ourselves.

This is probably the best time of year to subscribe if you want to, i mean mosdt PSN games you wouldn't want to keep. There's jack to buy at the moment so i'd say its worth it if your the kinda person to spend 40 pounds on a game. Don't bother buying any PSN games during your subscription though would seem crappy if the games were free to you later.

Well, I have Crackdown 2 on the way, and I've also ordered that Transformers sequel movie game since it was £8. I think once a game shows up on PS+ that I actually want I might get it.

I've only got two gigs left on my PS3 so, I'll have to wait until I can actually sibscribe to this.

I expect the online is completely dead by now. I just bought it because I actually enjoyed the first game, but it was very limited, and this one looks to have made everything better.

Sora just rented it I think.

i just play with the same guy all the time, just cause i beat him in RE5 versus and he has pretty much every game out on PS3, so i can play whatever i feel like

When it comes to comparing those two games, I prefer the story mode of the first game, the ROTF one was a cocktease considering you weren't even allowed to roam the map since you were so busy finishing the mission and heading back to the menu every time. I only really liked the MP of it but that's dead. The gameplay significantly improved though.

I'm glad I got WFC though. If there's only one thing I miss from ROTF's game, it would be the way you transform, it was basically a run button. I liked it that way(don't understand why other people didn't), it made it feel more immersive and it was a lot more convenient. In WFC, you have to press down on L3 and then press it again to change back into a bot. Everything else regarding WFC kicks ass though. It really needs a sequel where they're on Earth(or going to Earth, battling on space stations and other planets would be sweet). It deserves one.

So there's no real free roaming in ROTF?

It's more like they give you decently sized maps(but not bigger than the first game's ones) for areas but you're so caught up doing one mission in one part of it that you have no time to roam about. Once the mission ends, you're forced to return to the menu, you don't "drive to another location" to start the next one. The only time you can really roam about in some big spaces is in MP.

That sounds shit.

Well, yeah. Its only redeeming point was the MP, that's it.
