I liked Fairy tail.. for the fanservice.

The new arc with backwards land and cat world fucked it over for me.

Rave was awesome the whole way through. Why it wasn't popular is beyond my understanding.

not enough service? I tried watching the Rave anime because of Elie but below expectations and the whole rave thing didn't interest me. Now of course you might say "read the manga, it's much better and not unfinised like the anime", but I spoiled myself reading the ending.

I started watching FT cuz I saw Lucy and well, I'm not disappointed (including the plot). It's an okay anime to wake up to every monday morning.

Rave is better though for story, FT borrows alot from Rave and one piece. You think you're sneaky FT but you're not.

Just thanks got for lucy and Natsu, and grey... I think thats what gets fairy tail through, it has a very attractive main cast.

this, and i was turned off by the other world arc, and still hesitate to catch up on the manga becuase of it, but it'll get past it eventually, so my worries will pass.

If only we lived in such a fence-sitting world. But alas, we do not. Popular manga are compared with other popular manga (especially when one is constantly being accused of ripping the other off way in some regards). That's how a series' quality is determined - by pitting it against another series. One has to be better than other, and avoiding the comparison because you like both of them is just wishful thinking.
