alan dale was in star trek and indiana jones 4 andf the oc IIRC

Marvel Studios is the one planning all the cross overs, so they need to keep the costs down. Fantastic 4 was cheap just because it was cheap.

i thought the main reason for that was because of character you build around a specific actor
honestly ed norton was type casted to be a bruce banner

robert downey has disappeared in years leading up to the film

the others aren't particularly big actors, which is generally better for super hero roles

but yeah i guess production costs come into it to

Could be worse. Also of note was the decision to offer Chris Evans the role of Captain America, despite also being Johnny Storm. As it happens, I'm not too upset because I think Evans is underrated, but he seems an odd choice given he's already in a Marvel Franchise. Ryan Reynolds being in Blade and X-Men doesn't count either, because Blade Trinity was shit.

And like I said, Fantastic 4, along with Blade and X-Men, weren't Marvel Studios films. All Marvel Studios has made is Ironman and The Incredible Hulk, and they've obvioulsy weaving their own film universe together, ignoring the film franchises they don't own.

Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool in Origins: Wolverine.

Was his character in Blade actually from the comics though? I mean, the films were already pretty far removed from the comics to begin with. Blade wasn't even half vampire in the comics was he?

that was the whole point

i don't think blade had many characters in it
even whistler is made up by the 90s spidey cartoons

I can't remember off the top of my head
but a simple one would be the fact the film ends and starts i the same location
i'm pretty sure there were other things that remained consistent but i gotta watch them both again

Well it kind of picks up where the last film ended, but they rewrite the back story and all that nonsense.

TIH ignored Hulk entirely. I can't think of anything in TIH that tried to tie it into Ang Lee's Hulk, if anything it seemed quite keen to distance itself from it.
