I'm not paying for it. I mean, if the DVD never comes out, I'll get the bluray eventually. But it'll be a long wait before that happens.

Yeah they're hoping people aren't going to want to wait for the normal DVD release, then just buy the Blue Ray because it's there. Really lame marketting strategy.

This is how the companies make money. I work in a video rental store and there are loads of examples of this.

Did you know that Avatar is only being released in 2D? They plan on waiting to release the 3D version in a few months. Obviously they plan on making money from people who can't wait as well as milking the release of 3DTV later in the year.

lol this reminds me of DVD when it first came out. No one wanted DVD's and I remember my mother saying nobodies gonna bye that and BAM, my house is full of DVD's
